European Public Procurement of Innovation (PPI) Platform Project
The potential for the use of public procurement as an instrument to stimulate innovation has received growing emphasis in Europe in recent years. Representing 16 percent of European GDP, public procurement is a key source of demand and a major area in which governments are striving to improve effectiveness in their delivery of public services. The PPI Platform Project will structure and coordinate networking, capacity building, dissemination of key information and use of public procurement as a mechanism for procurement of innovation. Email us to find out more.
SCI-Network - Sustainable construction and innovation through procurement
Join a network of cities and organisations searching for innovative construction solutions. What new solutions are becoming available on the market? How can we encourage the best solution through our procurement actions? Join up and find out.
Many organisations now demand that the timber in their buildings and furniture is sustainable - but is it also fair? Sustainable Timber Action focuses on how procurers can address both sustainable forest management and fair trade in timber procurement. Email us to get involved.
The LANDMARK Project - moving towards socially responsible procurement
European local authorities, as purchasers, act as key drivers for the promotion of fair and decent working conditions in global supply chains for e.g textiles, food, construction and electronics. The LANDMARK Project will provide guidance and engagement opportunities to improve the living and working conditions of workers in Asia and parts of Sub-Saharan Africa.
