Webinar for European NGOs on influencing GPP now online

The EU NGO Network on GPP held its first webinar in April 2017 on NGOs’ opportunities to influence Green Public Procurement and is now available online.

The webinar aimed to address the steps necessary to engage with public authorities on GPP, to identify potential tender opportunities and to include green aspects in tenders. Considering NGOs' role and influence, the webinar also addressed the possibilities NGOs have to contribute in the process of GPP criteria development. It also explored how tendering processes can represent an opportunity to influence GPP uptake and how NGOs can play an essential role in achieving this.

The EU NGO Network on GPP was established in 2016 to increase the uptake of GPP through the EU by building NGO capacity to support public authorities. The network currently has over thirty member organisations and has published a guide to introducing GPP for European NGOs.
